MissionOS Supporting Project - HS2

Maxwell GeoSystems are delighted to announce that Balfour Beatty VINCI Joint Venture (BBV JV) has selected MissionOS as the Instrumentation & Construction Data Management Platform to support their Main Works Contract for the UK's High Speed 2 railway in the West Midlands. The long-established joint venture between two global infrastructure leaders is currently building the largest section on HS2s Phase One stretching 90km from Warwickshire to Staffordshire. The works include: • Two twin bored tunnels by TBM • More than 10km of retaining structures, including four tunnel portals and two cut & cover tunnels • More than 35 cuttings reaching over 30km • 66 embankments reaching over 33km • Building four motorway crossings requiring box structures and six interfaces with the existing rail requiring both dive-under and over-bridge structures • 42 viaducts totalling over 11km, 66 over-bridges, 56 culverts and other under-bridges MissionOS has a critical role, with 24-7 monitoring, it alerts staff to influences the construction may have on nearby third-party buildings, bridges, motorways, mainline rail, and utilities. MissionOS consumes masses of data from sensors, real-time feeds from tunnelling machines, and geology. This big data is constantly analysed and compared against engineers predictions - unexpected changes trigger alarms that notify key people. Staff then collaborate using incident blogging for rapid closure and reporting. #MGS #HS2 #Construction #HighSpeedRail #Railway #TBM #Tunnels #Monitoring #InstrumentationMonitoring #SaaS #DataManagement #ConstructionTechnology #PublicTransport #Infrastructure #UK
