Known also as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival, the Mid-Autumn Festival is a traditional festival celebrated by many East and Southeast Asian people. Lanterns of all sizes and shapes are carried and also displayed around – a symbolic beacon that light people’s path to prosperity and good fortune.

Mooncakes, a rich pastry which is typically filled with sweet- bean, yolk, meat or lotus-seed paste are eaten during this festival.
