Hanoi Metro Project | Vietnam
Maxwell GeoSystems’ MissionOS platform is currently deployed as a Common Data Environment for the Instrumentation and Monitoring works at the Hanoi Pilot Light Metro Line Project (Nhon-Hanoi Railway Station Section, HPLML/CP-03) in Vietnam.
The platform was also chosen by Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co. Ltd. – Ghella JV, to provide the process control for the tunnelling to be carried out by tunnel boring machine (TBM) using the Earth Pressure Balance (EPB) method. The TBM will carry out the boring work for 4km of twin tube tunnel, with four underground stations. This section of the Nhon-Hanoi Railway Station project is complex and has to navigate through a variety of existing highly sensitive infrastructure.
MissionOS will be monitoring the TBM’s location, progress, productivity, rings location and operating parameters, along with warning indicators in real-time and linking these to sensitive structures and the monitoring points placed upon them. This real-time feedback process is essential to active risk management of tunnelling and enables the teams to set appropriate face pressure and ring grouting parameters in order to minimise movements.
The system will also automate many of the daily reporting and analytical activities enhancing site efficiencies. Project stakeholders will be able to access all this information via the desktop or tablet. The capability of MissionOS to relate TBM activity to instrumentation results, and ground models within live accessible digital twins provides essential assurance to stakeholders.
Maxwell GeoSystems has been actively involved in other TBM related projects in Southeast Asia, such as Bangkok Blue Line, KVMRT1-2 (Malaysia) and DTSS2 (Singapore).
