This month, we shine a spotlight on Guy Morgan, Strategic Services Manager at Maxwell GeoSystems, based out of Sheffield, United Kingdom.
Since joining the company in 2018, Guy has been instrumental in managing strategic customer accounts at a national level, through helping clients maximise their investment and enhancing their MissionOS systems. During this time, Guy has managed major project’s such as MissionOS HS2 (High Speed Rail), implementations on complex London tunnel sections, and the largest Northern section up to Birmingham.
Over the years, Guy’s role has evolved, from being a Business Sales Manager, to now Strategic Services Manager. He mentions, “Having had a background in enterprise software, I welcomed the opportunity to join Maxwell GeoSystems – particularly because of the innovative nature of the MissionOS solution, and the impressive portfolio of major global projects. After getting established, the tenders for HS2 landed, and after considerable effort, we won the prestigious London and Birmingham sections. I then had the opportunity to manage the implementations, and I continue my involvement as Project/Commercial Manager today. It has been particularly rewarding to experience first-hand, MissionOS’s mission-critical role, handling masses of dynamic sensor data and tracking multiple TBMs simultaneously. The HS2 projects has evolved into one of our largest worldwide projects, requiring the innovative expansion of the MissionOS platform in order to accommodate high levels of monitoring, proving vital to minimise risks and ensure safety during construction.”
When asked about his major achievements during his time with Maxwell GeoSystems, Guy says, “One of the benefits of working for an SME, is there is flexibility in my role. This means I can apply my previous experience in a variety of areas. These range from being on the coalface on MissionOS projects, but also drawing from my background in sales, whereby I took responsibility for the ‘Strategic Sales’ initiative in the company. This required coordination with colleagues to establish standard procedures and processes to support the sales cycle, facilitating access to collateral, and tutorial videos. We’ve even adapted our MissionOS platform to provide our enterprise-wide Sales CRM – it does exactly what we need it to do!”
