The 18th European Conference on Soil Mechanics & Geotechnical Engineering will take place from 26th August – 30th August 2024, in Lisbon, Portugal. The theme this year is the “Challenges of Geotechnical Engineering to meet current and emerging society needs”.
Dr.Angus Maxwell (Founder & CEO of Maxwell GeoSystems), and Dorota Symonidou (Technical Manager- Instrumentation), will be attending the conference and giving presentations.
Dorota will be presenting on the topic, “On complex projects, does the designer have sufficient skill to specify I&M by himself/herself? Discuss the role of I&M Coordinator to develop the monitoring plan and I&M specification. Client’s role”, whilst DrAngus will present on “How do we coordinate I&M databases that link to as built construction”. These two presentations will take place during Workshop 2- Monitoring and OM, on the 25th August, Room FP.1, between 12:30pm – 1:45pm GMT, at the pre-conference Workshop.
This Workshop Session 2 is run by Technical Committee TC 206 – Observational Method and TC220 – Field monitoring in Geomechanics.
