Today, we take a moment to shine a spotlight on Banjoe Valdez, Territory Manager (APAC), at Maxwell GeoSystems. Banjoe, currently based out of Maxwell GeoSystems’ Singapore office, started his journey back in 2010, working in Hong Kong, under the guidance of Dr.Angus Maxwell (Founder & CEO).

For the past 14 years, Banjoe has been instrumental in ensuring smooth project operations that utilise the MissionOS platform, most notably in Singapore. Over the years, Banjoe has assisted in projects such as Lantau Portfolio Project (Hong Kong), Hanoi Metro (Vietnam), and now currently working full time on the DTSS2- Deep Tunnel Sewerage System (Singapore). He’s responsible for looking after the overall management of the project, working closely with project stakeholders, right from the deployment of MissionOS till the completion of the project.

Each project Banjoe has assisted came with its own challenges, as well as its rewards. He mentions, “I am particularly pleased in helping with the successful implementation of the Unified Web-based Database (UWD) system for both the XRL and SCL projects in Hong Kong. Another achievement that I am proud of is leading the Maxwell GeoSystems team in Singapore to win the first ever ‘Tunnelling Specialist Supplier of the Year’ award for the Shaft and Tunnel Excavation Monitoring System (STEMS) at the NCE Tunnelling Festival in UK, back in 2021”.

Banjoe’s dedication and proactive approach makes him an indispensable part of the company. Since his inception, he’s not only scaled new heights in his career, but also generously shares his expertise, offering guidance and support to fellow teammates in need.

Reflecting on his journey, Banjoe says, “I am very grateful to Dr.Angus Maxwell for giving me the opportunity to join the Hong Kong team back in 2010. I also have to say thank you to the entire Maxwell GeoSystems family for their collaborative effort and support to me, which has helped me grow professionally. I look forward to more success with the company in the years to come!”.
