Dr. Angus Maxwell is an Engineering Geologist with over twenty five years experience in major underground excavation and construction projects in Europe and Asia, he is founding Director and CEO of Maxwell GeoSystems Ltd. with offices in Hong Kong, Singapore and India. He has applied his extensive knowledge of Geotechnical Engineering and Project management to develop a company at the cutting-edge of data acquisition, interrogation and analysis, resulting in a revolutionary approach to project management and the interpretation of data. Through his visionary leadership and in close liaison with his team of skilled specialists, he has put Maxwell GeoSystems at the forefront of applied systems technology, empowering clients, contractors and design consultants alike with an innovative, robust, yet sophisticated repertoire of integrated systems for the construction industry.
Suzi Rappel was appointed Chief Administrative Officer in July 2020. Prior to this, Suzi was Maxwell GeoSystems Business Manager and has worked for the company since 2008 when she joined the Hong Kong office to work alongside the CEO and Technical Director. Suzi has served in a variety of industries and companies over the past 30 years, including working in the Entertainment Industry in London for companies such as Columbia TriStar, Warner Brothers (Filmbank) and Sony Pictures Entertainment before moving to Hong Kong in 2008. Suzi is closely involved in the company’s short and long-term global business strategies and corporate governance as well as managing the HR, Finance and Administration teams across the group. Suzi moved back to the UK in 2021 where she continues her role.
Dennis is an Executive Mentor and founding member of the Executive Board. He helps guide MGS sales and marketing activities, as well as future partnership and investment options. He brings a large company perspective to the planning of current operations and positioning MGS for aggressive global impact. Dennis has lived and worked in Asia for almost 40 years. His career has focused on the energy and infrastructure industries, including senior executive roles with technology based firms such as GE, and the largest local engineering firm in Saudi Arabia. This experience includes energy and environmental, oil and gas, and mining and tunnelling, all in support of diverse global infrastructure projects. Most recently he has led venture capital investment and early stage startup activities in Saudi Arabia, the USA and Asia. Additionally, he has managed engineering and geotechnical consulting firms in both Asia and the Middle East, always focused on translating state-of-the-art skills and technology into things that benefit mankind.
Roger Carey is a sales and marketing professional bringing over thirty five years comprehensive experience served in a variety in senior commercial management & consultative roles within corporate and independent company environments. As Head of Brand, Marketing and Communications, he joined to help the company with its mission to develop its industry awareness, visibility and focus all marketing activities on building an iconic brand. With a passion for enhancing customer experience, culture, values, and a keen eye on attention to detail, Roger’s keen in developing beautifully designed software, and driven to make data really impactful. Prior to Maxwell GeoSystems, Roger has worked extensively for the Tetra Laval international group in the United Kingdom, across Europe, including three years in Russia, and Asia-Pacific (APAC), latterly basing himself in Hong Kong where he’s lived for over 20 years. When time allows, he’s busy playing tenor saxophone, road cycling and whenever the opportunity arises, tackles the demands of offshore sailing with NZ to Fiji and PNG to Australia listed amongst his most challenging voyages.
Guy Morgan is a Business Sales Manager based out of UK and has experience in industrial SCADA, CAD and extensive experience in enterprise GIS-based solutions. He has helped in managing strategic customer accounts at a national level, helping clients maximize their investment and enhancing their MissionOS systems. Additionally, Guy has project managed the major MissionOS HS2 implementations on the complex London tunnels section and the largest Northern section up to Birmingham. As a highly experienced individual, Guy applies his extensive knowledge and background in software sales to the role specific to key market sectors. Work aside, Guy loves to listen to house, funk and garage music to relax, along with going to the gym. If there is any one skill he would pick up instantly, it would be surfing, as he currently only uses a bodyboard when down in Cornwall, UK.
Banjoe Valdez has over 10 years of experience in a variety of ground engineering disciplines including foundations, lateral support systems and ground improvement/stabilisation works. His most recent experience is the on-going Deep Tunnel Sewerage System Phase 2 (DTSS2) in Singapore where he manages a Team of Engineers set up the Shaft and Tunnel Excavation Monitoring System (STEMS). He was also involved in high profile instrumentation & monitoring projects in Hong Kong like the XRL, SCL for the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) and HATS2A of the Drainage & Services Department (DSD) and in Singapore’s Woodsville Interchange project, which was a sensitive cut and cover construction involving the interaction of three different tunnel systems and sensitive surface structures. He holds a Master’s Degree in Geotechnical Engineering (MSc Geotechnical) from the Hong Kong University (HKU). One of the cool things Banjoe is currently working on his designing his dream house and is passionate about making all his dreams a reality. One of the craziest things he has done has been to travel to Moscow, Russia alone just to visit a friend.
