The company is seeking an outstanding, experienced professional to join the team as a Junior Software Engineer - PHP for managing back-end services and the interchange of data between the server and the users.

Reporting to the Junior Team Leaders, your primary focus will be the development of server-side logic, definition and maintenance of the central database, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

You will also be responsible for integrating the front-end elements built by development teams into the application. Therefore, a basic understanding of front-end technologies is required. The candidate should be ready to work in rotational shifts.

The position requires working collaboratively with a multi-functional team of Senior System Developers, Programmers, and Management Executives throughout the entire product life-cycle.

You will be using the latest, leading web technologies wherever and whenever possible to achieve the best results.

Job Summary:

This role will include responsibility for the following duties:

  • Development of server-side logic, definition & maintenance of central database
  • Integration of front-end elements
  • Ensure high performance & system responsiveness
  • Should be ready to work on rotational shifts

Some of the duties you’ll be doing…

  • Research, develop and maintain MissionOS products and their customisations.
  • Guide business decisions from technical perspectives like performance, reliability, scalability and security.
  • Maintaining client projects by troubleshooting bugs and adding new modules.
  • Coordinate and work with the team and liaise with the Seniors.
  • Write clean object-oriented code and well optimized SQL queries.
  • Proper commenting and documentation of the requirements.
  • Create and test the software implementation.
  • Release the pre-planned communications about the product to all stakeholders.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Experience, Skills & Qualifications……

  • Basic understanding in MVC design patterns and object oriented PHP programming.
  • Proficient base level knowledge in front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks like JQuery, AngularJs.
  • Good knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions.
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
  • Familiarity with limitations of PHP as a platform and its workarounds
  • Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.
  • Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and their declarative query languages.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrable good communication skills, especially in written form.
  • Knowledge gained through qualification, training or internship.
