Instructional Designer/ Technical Writer
The company is seeking an outstanding, experienced professional to join the team as an Instructional Designer/ Technical Writer. The Instructional Designer/Technical Writer will be responsible for designing, developing, and documenting eLearning courses, walkthroughs, tutorials, and blended learning content that clearly explain our product functionalities, workflows, and use cases. This role combines instructional design and technical writing expertise — creating engaging training materials as well as precise, user-friendly documentation. The position involves close collaboration with product experts, project engineers, and the training content team to translate complex technical concepts into interactive learning experiences and comprehensive reference content that support both internal users and clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop training modules, eLearning courses, and simulations on our product instances (MissionOS).
- Create instructional materials such as scripts, storyboards, video walkthroughs, infographics, and assessments.
- Work closely with subject matter experts to analyze learning needs and define course objectives.
Develop interactive content using tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, or equivalent LMS-authoring platforms. - Ensure courses are aligned with Maxwell GeoSystems’ branding and learning standards.
- Manage and maintain courses in the MGS Learn LMS environment (e.g., MGSLearn, MGSEmployee, MGSservices portals).
- Evaluate learner feedback and improve existing content accordingly.
- Stay updated on best practices in instructional design, adult learning theory, and eLearning trends.
- Support video creation for MissionOS walkthroughs and product tutorials.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Communication, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in instructional design or eLearning content creation (preferably in technology or engineering domains).
- Experience with LMS platforms and content management systems.
- Excellent communication and writing skills to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with global teams.
