With Charutha Sharma having completed 10 years at Maxwell GeoSystems as a Team Lead, based out of our Research & Development Facility in Kochi, India, we shine a spotlight on her in our latest Employee Focus post.

Since her initial days at the company, Charutha has been deeply involved in the core development and maintenance of the MissionOS platform. Over the years, she has been instrumental in ensuring the platform operates at the highest levels across major projects in across Singapore, UK and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Now as a Team Lead, she is responsible for mentoring and working with her team to further support new projects that use MissionOS. Charutha mentions, “I also work on the collection and analysis of data, as well as system technical design, planning and implementation. I engage with MissionOS users on a frequent basis to understand their needs and provide the best support in mitigating issues they face.” Along with this, she is also responsible for assisting different managers with problem solving, risk management, as well as the implementation and tracking of essential initiatives with the MissionOS platform.

Across her 10 year span in handling of major projects and interacting with domain experts, she has been able to develop and grow her skillsets in both technical and managerial aspects. When asked about her achievements over the years, Charutha mentions, “having begun my career as a fresher with limited skills, I have had vast amounts of opportunities to develop myself into handling major projects, and having the ability to deal with clients directly. I am also particularly proud of the fact that I structured a team of 6 members, from 2 initially, that were handling the system’s basic construction and TBM (Tunnel Boring Machine) module.”

Back in 2018, the company awarded Charutha with “Employee of the Year” in light of her contributions. She closed off by saying, “I consider myself fortunate to have been a part of Maxwell GeoSystems India since it started, and I look forward to growing together.”
