Maxwell GeoSystems has been appointed by the China State-Alchmex Joint Venture to provide its MissionOS Project Data Management System for the project Relocation of Sha Tin Sewage Treatment Works to Caverns – Main Caverns Construction in Hong Kong.

The system will be a provider for managing and presenting entire project data, that includes both instrumentation and construction data. The construction of the new main caverns complex at Nui Po Shan will cover around 14 hectares in area, along with a 260m long secondary access tunnel. There is also to be a ventilation shaft about 70m deep, with a ventilation adit around 660m long, as well a two effluent pipes of 2.2m diameter, each around 320m long. Site formation works at portal areas include; natural terrain mitigation measures and associated construction of relevant retaining structures.

Some of the key applications of MissionOS in this project include: Integration to project BIM, Risk Management System, real-time automatic drilling control system, Drill and Blast Process Control and Evaluation of Rock Reinforcement and Injection.
